Never tire of doing good - Galatians 6:9-10

Quote of the Day
Paul teaches that if we live primarily to please our flesh, we'll find ourselves spiritually impoverished now and bankrupt in heaven later.  But if we live by the Spirit we shall see fruit in our present circumstances and also have a rich reward waiting for us in heaven.
(side note in my NIV Bible regarding today's verse).

(9) Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.  (10) Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers.

Did you notice the emphasis on "the family of believers"?  Why do you think that phrase was emphasized with the word "especially"?  Caring for believers was a priority in the day of Paul, and it continues to be a priority today.  When we keep each other lifted, the positive power we can unleash and the overall good we can do on behalf of mankind is limitless.
Let's do our share today, and then some.  Mankind needs all the encouragement it can get!

Love, Nan

  1. Nan, one of the members on facebook encouraged me so much. She noticed something I'd posted that appeared negative and discouraging to her - she encouraged me to think positively - which I usually do. But even though she may or may not be a Christian, she helped me with her encouragement. It felt so nice that someone cared enough to call me on what she thought I was feeling.
