Living Water - John 17:37-41

(37) On the last and greatest day of the Feast, Jesus stood and said in a loud voice, "If anyone is thirsty, let him come to me and drink.  (38) Whoever believes in me, as the Scripture has said, streams of living water will flow from within him."  (39) By this he meant the Spirit, whom those who believed in him were later to receive.  Up to that time the Spirit had not been given, since Jesus had not yet been glorified.  (40) Upon hearing his words, some of the people said, "Surely this man is the Prophet."  (41) Others said, "He is the Christ."

Jesus is indeed the Christ.

There are times in our lives when we seem to be in a dry desert regarding our spiritual walk.  Jesus wants us to know that even through those dry places, he is with us and will give us the Living Water for which we thirst.  There is no other method of quenching this kind of thirst that will sustain us and cause us to thrive.  He wants you to thrive and to live forever with him.  That is what I want for you, too.

The best is yet to be.  Drink now.  He holds the cup before you.  Take it and be filled.

It's a beautiful Fall day here in Iredell County.  Enjoy it to the fullest measure.  Love, Nan

  1. Nan, thank you for a wonderful message. It has taken me a while to get here. But (and I keep saying this, one day it will happen) I will start Lessons from Life again. I just don't know when. I may be in that dry desert, but nothing can tear me away from Jesus. I read my Bible, pray, and believe that He is with me every second of the day. Since moving downstairs, my life has changed in incredibl ways. Bless you.
