Strengthened Character - Romans 5:1-5

(1) Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ,  (2)  through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand.  And we rejoice in the hope of the glory of God.   (3)  Not only so, but we also rejoice in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; (4) perseverance, character; and character, hope.  (5) And hope does not disappoint us, because God has poured out his love into our hearts by the Holy Spirit, whom he has given us.

Peace can and does come of our suffering when we give our suffering a new meaning.  When we use our suffering as a means to glorify God we become a conqueror over that suffering.  Our character is developed and deepened as we persevere and overcome obstacles on our pathway into The Light.  Character produces hope.  Never, never, never give up hope.  We conquer a sickness in our mind when we feed our mind only the thoughts of a champion instead of the thoughts of a victim mentality.

Be a conqueror today.  Be the champion that I know you to be.  Be the victor and not the victim.  You do have a choice in the matter.  Loose the hold of the victim and let it go.

Have a wonderful, victorious day in the Lord!!

Your sister in Christ, Nan
