Peek Into My Heart

Rejoice in the Lord always.  I will say it again; Rejoice!  Let your gentleness be evident to all.  The Lord is near.  Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.  And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable -- think about such things.  Whatever you have learned or received or heard from me, or seen in me -- put it into practice.  And the God of peace will be with you.
Philippians 4:4-9

The book of Philippians contains only four chapters, but the apostle Paul packs a huge amount of truths into practical terms.  I think that is why I relate so well to his writings.   Reading Paul's words, I sense a figurative "peek into his heart", if you will.  As I began to read his words, I continued reading hungrily, wanting nothing more than to finish the entire book, but I must continue with today's message and move on to other tasks before leaving for the office this morning.
As you read Nan's Calendar, I offer you a peek into my heart.  I write from the heart.  I write for the Lord, and I write for you.  I am not ashamed nor embarrassed about anything I have ever written in my messages.    If sharing with you any of my experiences or beliefs has encouraged you or given you pause to think, then my life is considered a success.   It is God who works in me and through me for the good of His people.  As it says in 2 Timothy 2:15, Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a workman who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly handles the word of truth.
The Lord abides in me and I abide in the Lord.  Even through my imperfect self, the Lord sees something useful in me and I am honored to be His humble servant.  I am so thankful for my husband, Allen and our precious children.  I'm thankful for family and friends and with a thankful heart I serve you by offering my heart to you through my messages of faith, hope and love.
Have a wonderful day! Love, Nan
